बरनउँ रघुबर बिमल जसु, जो दायकु फल चारि॥
बुद्धिहीन तनु जानिके, सुमिरौं पवन-कुमार।
बल बुद्धि बिद्या देहु मोहिं, हरहु कलेस बिकार॥

Having cleansed the mirror of my mind with the dust of the Guru's lotus feet, I describe the pure glory of Raghubar (Rama) which grants the four fruits of life. Knowing my body to be bereft of intelligence, I remember the Son of the Wind. Grant me strength, wisdom and knowledge, and remove my afflictions and impurities.
1. Glory to Hanuman, ocean of wisdom and virtue. Glory to the lord of monkeys, illuminator of the three worlds.
2. Messenger of Rama, abode of incomparable strength. Named son of Anjani, son of the wind.
3. Great hero, courageous Bajrangi. Remover of evil thoughts, companion of good thoughts.
4. Golden-complexioned, splendidly attired. Wearing earrings, with curly hair.
5. Holding a thunderbolt and a flag. Wearing the sacred thread of munja grass.
6. Son of Shankar, beloved of Kesari. Your glory and might are adored throughout the world.
7. Learned, virtuous and extremely clever. Ever eager to do Rama's work.
8. A devotee of hearing the Lord's deeds. Rama, Lakshmana and Sita dwell in your heart.
9. You showed yourself in subtle form to Sita. You assumed a fierce form and burned Lanka.
10. Taking a terrible form you slew demons. You accomplished all of Ramachandra's tasks.
11. Bringing the Sanjivani you revived Lakshmana. Shri Raghuvira joyfully embraced you.
12. Raghupati praised you greatly saying - you are as dear to me as my brother Bharata.
13. Thousands of mouths sing your glory. Saying this Shripati (Vishnu) embraced you.
14. Sanaka and sages, Brahma and great sages. Narada and Sharada along with the lord of serpents.
15. Yama, Kubera and all the guardians of the directions. Where can poets and scholars describe all your glory?
16. You did a great favor to Sugriva. You united him with Rama and gave him the kingdom.
17. Vibhishana accepted your counsel. He became lord of Lanka as the whole world knows.
18. The Sun is thousands of yojanas away. You swallowed it thinking it a sweet fruit.
19. Carrying the Lord's ring in your mouth. You crossed the ocean - no wonder!
20. All difficult tasks in the world. Become easy by your grace.
21. You are the guardian at Rama's door. None can enter without your permission.
22. All who take your refuge attain happiness. With you as protector there is nothing to fear.
23. You alone can control your own power. At your roar all three worlds tremble.
24. Ghosts and demons do not come near. When the name of Mahabir is chanted.
25. All diseases are destroyed and all pain removed. By constantly remembering brave Hanuman.
26. Hanuman frees one from troubles. Whoever meditates on him in thought, deed and word.
27. Rama is the supreme ascetic king over all. You accomplish all his tasks.
28. Whatever other wish anyone brings. They receive the immeasurable fruit of life.
29. Your glory spans all four ages. It is proclaimed and the world is illuminated.
30. You are the protector of saints and sages. Destroyer of demons, beloved of Rama.
31. Giver of the eight siddhis and nine nidhis. Such a boon was given by Mother Janaki.
32. You possess the elixir of Rama. Always remain the servant of Raghupati.
33. Through your devotion one attains Rama. Sorrows of many lifetimes are forgotten.
34. At the end of life one goes to Raghuvir's abode. One is called a devotee of Hari in every birth.
35. Do not need to worry about any other deity. Serving Hanuman grants all happiness.
36. Troubles are cut away and all pain removed. For one who remembers mighty Hanuman.
37. Glory, glory, glory to Hanuman Gosain. Be gracious like the Guru.
38. Whoever reads this a hundred times. Is freed from bondage and attains great happiness.
39. Whoever reads this Hanuman Chalisa. Attains perfection - Gauri's lord (Shiva) is witness.
40. Tulsidas is always Hari's servant. O Lord, make your abode in my heart.
Final Doha: O son of the wind, remover of troubles, embodiment of auspiciousness. Dwell in my heart along with Rama, Lakshmana and Sita, O king of gods.
