From waking before sunrise (Brahma Muhurta) to oil pulling, yoga, and the right timing for meals — the ancient Ayurvedic daily schedule that aligns you with nature's rhythms.
Ayurveda says health is not just the absence of disease — it is alignment with nature's daily cycles. Here is a simplified Dinacharya for modern life.
Rise before sunrise during Brahma Muhurta — the most sattvic time of day. The mind is clear, the air is pure, and consciousness is naturally receptive to meditation and prayer.
Swish 1 tablespoon of sesame or coconut oil for 15–20 minutes to pull toxins. Follow with tongue scraping using a copper scraper to remove the overnight ama (toxins) coating.
Warm sesame oil massage before bathing nourishes the skin, calms Vata, stimulates lymphatic flow, and promotes a grounded start to the day.
Ayurveda recommends a light, warm breakfast. Cooked grains, ghee, seasonal fruit. Never cold food in the morning — it dampens the digestive fire (Agni).
Pitta peaks at noon, making it the best time to digest a heavy meal. Eat with full attention — no screens, no rushing. A short walk after aids digestion.
Dinner should be the lightest meal — soups, kitchari, or cooked vegetables. Complete eating at least 2 hours before sleep. Triphala churna in warm water supports overnight detox.
Boil tulsi, ginger, black pepper and honey in water for 15 minutes.
1 tsp Ashwagandha in warm milk with cardamom and nutmeg before bed.
Fresh amla juice with rock candy before meals cools Pitta and balances acid.
Brahmi-infused ghee with warm milk enhances memory and mental clarity.
