Dinacharya — The Ayurvedic Daily Routine
ā¤Ļā¤ŋ⤍⤚⤰āĨā¤¯ā¤ž

Ayurveda says health is not just the absence of disease — it is alignment with nature's daily cycles. Here is a simplified Dinacharya for modern life.

🌅
4:30–6 AM
Brahma Muhurta — Wake & Meditate
ā¤ŦāĨā¤°ā¤šāĨā¤Žā¤ŽāĨā¤šāĨ‚⤰āĨā¤¤

Rise before sunrise during Brahma Muhurta — the most sattvic time of day. The mind is clear, the air is pure, and consciousness is naturally receptive to meditation and prayer.

đŸĒĨ
6–7 AM
Oral Hygiene — Oil Pulling & Tongue Scraping
⤤āĨ‡ā¤˛ ⤖āĨ€ā¤‚ā¤šā¤¨ā¤ž

Swish 1 tablespoon of sesame or coconut oil for 15–20 minutes to pull toxins. Follow with tongue scraping using a copper scraper to remove the overnight ama (toxins) coating.

💆
7–8 AM
Abhyanga — Self Oil Massage
⤅⤭āĨā¤¯ā¤‚⤗

Warm sesame oil massage before bathing nourishes the skin, calms Vata, stimulates lymphatic flow, and promotes a grounded start to the day.

đŸĩ
8–9 AM
Breakfast — Light & Warm
ā¤ĒāĨā¤°ā¤žā¤¤ā¤ƒā¤•ā¤žā¤˛ ⤭āĨ‹ā¤œā¤¨

Ayurveda recommends a light, warm breakfast. Cooked grains, ghee, seasonal fruit. Never cold food in the morning — it dampens the digestive fire (Agni).

🌞
12–1 PM
Lunch — The Largest Meal
ā¤Žā¤§āĨā¤¯ā¤žā¤šāĨā¤¨ ⤭āĨ‹ā¤œā¤¨

Pitta peaks at noon, making it the best time to digest a heavy meal. Eat with full attention — no screens, no rushing. A short walk after aids digestion.

🌙
6–8 PM
Evening — Light Dinner & Wind Down
⤏⤂⤧āĨā¤¯ā¤žā¤•ā¤žā¤˛

Dinner should be the lightest meal — soups, kitchari, or cooked vegetables. Complete eating at least 2 hours before sleep. Triphala churna in warm water supports overnight detox.
