5. You have absorbed the power of the entire universe and given food and wealth for its sustenance.
6. You became Annapurna and nourished the world. You are the primordial beautiful one.
7. At the time of dissolution you destroy everything. You are Gauri, beloved of Shiva.
8. Shiva’s yogis sing your virtues. Brahma and Vishnu meditate on you daily.
9. You took the form of Saraswati and gave good wisdom to rescue sages and saints.
10. O Amba, you took the form of Narasimha and appeared by splitting the pillar.
11. You protected and saved Prahlada and sent Hiranyaksha to heaven.
12. You assume the form of Lakshmi in the world and dwell within Shri Narayana.
13. You sport in the milk ocean. O ocean of compassion, fulfill the desires of my mind.

15. Matangi, Dhumavati, Bhuvaneshwari and Bagla – you are the giver of happiness.
16. Shri Bhairav, Tara, savior of the world. Chhinnamasta, remover of worldly sorrows.
17. Bhavani looks beautiful riding a lion. The brave Langur (Hanuman) walks ahead.
18. A skull-cup and sword adorn your hands. Seeing you even death runs away in fear.
19. Weapons and the trident adorn you. Their sight pierces the hearts of enemies.
20. You reside in Nagarkot (Kangra). Your drum beats in all three worlds.
21. You slew the demons Shumbha and Nishumbha and destroyed Raktabija.
22. The demon king Mahishasura was extremely arrogant, burdening the earth with his sins.
23. You took the terrible form of Kali and destroyed him along with his army.
24. Whenever difficulties came upon the saints and sages, O Mother, you came to their aid.
25. In Amarpuri and Basav’s realm, your glory keeps everyone free from sorrow.
26. Your divine flame burns in Jwalamukhi. Men and women always worship you there.
27. Those who sing your glory with loving devotion – sorrow and poverty never come near them.
28. Whoever meditates on you with a focused mind – birth and death are released for them.
29. Yogis, gods and sages call out – no yoga is possible without your divine energy.
30. Shankaracharya performed austerities and conquered desire and anger completely.
31. He meditated on Shankara day and night but never remembered you.
32. He did not understand the secret of Shakti’s form and when Shakti left he repented.
33. He took refuge in you and sang your glory. Victory, victory, victory to Jagadamba Bhavani.
