📜Parvati’s 108 birthsपार्वती के 108 जन्म
Tradition says Parvati was born 108 times and performed penance in each life to win Shiva as her husband. In her 108th birth, as the daughter of Himavan, her devotion was so steady that Shiva accepted her. Teej celebrates that reunion.
Women see in Parvati the strength of a promise kept through every hardship, and pray for the same constancy in their own marriages.

🌿The three Teejsतीन तीज
North India keeps three Teejs in the rains: Hariyali Teej (Shravana Shukla Tritiya), Kajari Teej (Bhadrapada Krishna Tritiya, about two weeks later) and Hartalika Teej (Bhadrapada Shukla Tritiya, a month later).
Before Hariyali Teej, a married daughter receives a “sindhara” from her parents — new clothes, bangles, mehndi, ghewar and sweets.
